AACRC is excited to be bringing its highly acclaimed annual conference back to Boston, Massachusetts in 2010. It was right here in 2004 that we initiated a number of activities that have helped stimulate transformation in the field of residential treatment for children and youth. We have recruited parents to join our board of directors, began developing the Redefining Residential series, and engaged in dialogue with policymakers that helped stimulate the National Building Bridges Initiative.

This year in Boston we embark on another set of new changes. After more than fifty years we have moved our annual conference from its typical fall schedule to the spring. We have joined forces with The National Leadership Conference on Child Welfare Issues (historically offered by our partners at the Alliance for Children and Families), and we have put together an outstanding program for this inaugural year, one that we hope will lead to further evolution in our field.
